Our Partners


The Open Source Academy is an ODPM e-innovations lead by Birmingham City Council.

This project aims to create an environment where Open Source Software (OSS) is safe to use therefore encouraging and easing its adoption in local authorities of all sizes. It also aims to provide research into the claims of OSS, providing large case studies of server and desktop deployments within a UK local authority setting, the conclusions of which will help to inform government policy on OSS in the future.
